When You Buy A Gift For A Baby Shower Do You Buy Off Of The Registry If There Is One?
Do you use the registry or just buy what you think is cute? My cousin recieve 7 of the same outfits, 3 of the same pairs of shoes, and two baby swings at her shower and had to return them all while 8 months pregnant. Do you use the registry? Why or why not?
i try to b/c i know they put on there what they need…i try to avoid clothes b/c they get so many of that…i am a functional person
I use the registry as a guide but I don’t usually buy anything from it. The last baby shower I went to I put together a baby proofing kit. Not something the mother will be able to use straight away but something she will be very grateful for when her baby is at that “‘in to everything” stage in a few months time. My experience of baby showers is that most gifts are things that are suitable for newborns but very few people buy things that parents will be able to use in the later months of baby’s first year.
I think that you should because she took the time to make a registry of what she needed and wanted for her baby..you don’t have too though.
Buying of the registry also tells you if someone already bought that item. I know I didnt make a registry for my shower because I was to frusterated and I still recieved that same gift more than once.

You should because they have picked out what they need, but you don’t have to though. You could get something else or from somewhere else.
I always buy off a registry. That way you know that the new mother is getting something she really needs.
yes i hope people use my registry and on the registry it will say what someone else has already bought, so you two people dont buy the same thing
