personally the mom and baby one seems like they’re cutting dad out of the picture but I know it’s not meant that way and I don’t take offense to it at all.

again it depends what the present is and whatu feel is right
You make it out only to the parents. The baby can’t read. Hell, it isn’t even born yet.
And it’s rude to omit the father. Sure he’s not burdened with gestation, but he did do half of the conceiving and he will do half of the postnatal care and parenting.
If it is a couple’s type party, then mom and dad. If women only, then mom. Baby isn’t even alive- and they will not be the ones putting it to use, mom and dad will. Baby won’t have a clue. And no reason to include dad if he is not at the party- he certainly won’t be writing any of the thank yous! The party in that case is for her, and that is who the gift is for.
