Whats Your Favorite Baby Shower Gift To Receive Besides The Big Ticket Items?
The big ticket items never meant as much to me as the handmade quilts and blankets that the baby’s grandmothers and aunts made. Those items have been cherished and passed down to my own grandchildren and are still in great shape.
At Target they had a bunch of American Red Cross items for babies. I put them on my registry and for some reason I just got so excited when I received them. They were small items like nail clippers, baby tooth brush kit, nasal aspirator, personal items like that. I think I got excited because there were a lot of items and they were all things I knew I would use.
The baby clothes, swaddlers, blankets, and bibs got overwhelming because it seemed like every single person got me a set of 5-10. When you’ve got a shower with 40 people there, that’s a lot of bibs and clothes.
Money and gift cards are always nice because a family that is just starting out . . . even though it seems like an impersonal gift, it really helps with the groceries, the bills, and unexpected items. It can help go towards the items the mom and dad might need after the baby is born that they didn’t expect.
I think precious little outfits are perfect because you can never get too many and always want your little boy or girl dressed up.Feltman Brothers is a wonderful name and is a big seller for new arrivals.Onesies,you cant get enough of and they have little shorts or pants to slip on according to the weather.Handmade quilts that you can pass down or save are great. Diapers are a big help,especially the economy packs.Anything is special because its a gift so always show your gratitude.
