Three GOOD baby shower GIFT IDEAS:
You can get her a wicker basket at Wal-mart for $3 and fill it with baby Johnson & Johnson products, wipies & a package or two of Newborn Pampers, matching outfits or anything you can think of to fill it. Most of these products go on sale from time to time at HEB or your local stores…just look out for those sales if you have time. Also, at the baby sales section you can find lots of little things you can put in it. Then wrap it with see through plastic (like the Easter Baskets have) & tie it with ribbon on top & put a bow on it. You can also add about 3 helium balloons. They are a big hit at the showers I attend & everyone now looks forward to that gift!! (These average from $25-$50.)
A personalized diaper cake. They are really easy to make. (If I can do it, you can to!!) Here’s a helpful link that I used. (I did the Diaper Cake Type A in a Precious Moment theme which the mommy-to-be had picked out. Big hit to!!) You can either make it a Generic “Baby” theme or find out the mommy-to-be’s theme & add some of those little items to it. (These average from $15-$25.) Have fun! ;o)http://www.babbee.com/shower-diaper-cake…http://www.geocities.com/showersrfun/dia…

How about a double umbrella stroller.
a double seated stroller
I have 2 sets of twins and the best gift that I received was a double stroller (umberlla style) because it doesn’t take up much room and comes in really handy. My kids love to sit next to each other in it.
Make her a gift basket with diapers, wipes, diaper rash cream, baby laundry detergent, baby powder, bibs, baby stain remover, baby bath…that kinda stuff..A friend of mine did that for me and I loved it.
Diapers, Diapers, Diapers and (if formula feeding) formula, formula, formula.
Another good alternative is a gift certificate to Babiesrus or another store where these items are sold.
Diapers, diapers and diapers, and if you have a little money left buy some more diapers.
A play pen
Two Walkers
Two High Chairs
a beautiful blanket for each of them
2 big cuddly teddy bears
2 Boppy pillows with removable/washable slip covers. Or Bumbo baby seats, as the babies get old the mama will thank you! (both products are available at Target)
ear plugs and a million packets of baby wipes.
Matching baby outfits… with booties, socks and blankies.
Two soft baby towells and if you can afford it a gift basket full of practical baby products. It is amazing what you can find when you shop around!
Baby monitors! She won’t be able to be everywhere at once!
Vibrating rockers, very soothing.
Matching outfits or blankets
Bibs! Can you imagine how baby bibs two babies would go through?
Diapers, and wipes etc. Having twins will cost her an arm and a leg!
If she is planning on breastfeeding, a boppy pillow.
I think if I was expecting twins, I would want a basket of all the ‘little’ things. Socks, dummys, wipes, baby shampoo etc. It will all come in VERY handy.
Good luck!
I’m a single father with 5 kids and my youngest 2 are almost 5 month old twin boys. I think that spending a good deal of money on clothes for them isn’t the best idea because they grow so fast and they outgrow everything so quickly. Something that they and their mum could really use would be something like a double stroller, maybe a hanging toy that they can lay under while they’re quite small and eventually sit up and play with, or possibly a diaper bag with a nice supply of diapers, wipes, and cream for diaper rash. Or if you’re looking for something with a little more meaning you could get/make them each a blanket or stuffed animal of some kind. Really, I’m sure whatever you get for them and their mum, they’ll be very thankful.
I think diapers would be very usefull and maybe some clothes they grow out of them very fast. The simpler the gift the better.
Take it from me I have twin girls I had them 7 months ago the best gift is a nice basket with diapers wipes lotions and diaper rash cream things that she will run out of!!!!
Ive only got 4 months still to go, before my third baby boy is born. When will my nesting instincts start.
