What Would Be An Awesome Small Baby Shower Gift?
My friend is flying home for her baby shower. I want to get her a small meaningful gift (so she can easily fly it home with her) along with a $50 gift certificate for Toys R Us. What small gift should I get? She doesn’t know the gender. She asked me to be the god parent and she is my best friend.
How about a birth certificate holder with a gift card to have it engraved after she has the baby.
Why dont you pick out a small collection of your favorite children’s books? They are slim and easy to pack! It will be very personal and a wonderful resource for a mom to read to her child. You could inscribe them to the baby as well, and they are for either gender. I recieved a similar collection at my shower and loved it. Additionally, try places like Red Envelope.com, or Personalizationmall.com for personal gifts, but it may be hard at this time since you do not know the specifics, name, sex etc. I always think a beautiful blanket is always appropriate, and another great choice. Since you will be the god mother, a simple, but high quality white blanket would make a gorgeous gift. What a great friend you are to put so much time into it!
When my wife and I were expecting our daughter (she is a year old now), we appreciated every gift we received, however….we appreciated our gift cards even more, especially from WalMart & Target. I think getting your friend a year membership at Costco would be great, especially when she needs diapers and stuff like that. Costco was a big money saver for us.
My sister got my friend a glass penguin that was colored glass, but you could still see that it had a little penguin in it’s belly. It was so sweet. And her friend loves the gift. It’s one of her favorites even though it was rather inexpensive.
My MIL got this little stand for the baby’s first tooth. I wont be using it for a while but it was still a small cute gift. Just picture what the rose was in in the Beaty and the Beast. Kind of looks like that.
There are calendars at the hallmark store that moms use to document their baby’s firsts. I love mine and still remember the friend that bought it for me.
Get a gift certificate for a nose piercing or tattoo for the baby.
What about a casting kit, for babies hands or feet. I had one brought me and i treasure it, it’s up on my baby’s bedroom wall.
