Some background info.. I’m 18 years old and the host ( i guess thats what she would be called?) of the baby shower is 19. It’s my girlfriends roommate and were really good friends. Looking for something fun or something useful? I have no idea.

My mom gets a laundry basket and put like a big baby blanket in it and takes a clothes line and puts a bunch of baby clothes from newborn to maybe 3 years on it. then she folds the clothes line with the baby clothes on it in to the basket and wrap the blanket around it making sure to leave a little bit of clothes line sticking out of the top and lightly tie the top of the blanket so no one can see in it. Then tell the mother-to-be to carefully untie the string holding the blanket together and carefully pull on the clothes line. and as shes pulling pass it around the room, We have done this twice and the mother to be loved it!!!!! A “cake” made out of diapers. It is probably the coolest gift I have ever witnessed and I hope I get one for mine! It is basically diapers all rolled up and forming “tiers” of a cake, usually 3, and attached to them are all kinds of odds and ends the baby needs like thermometer, socks, that nasal thingy, neosporin, baby shampoo and lotions and etc.. It might take a while to make but I’m sure you will be a hit if you give her that. Good luck!
Well diapers in different sizes are usually a good start (size 1 thru 4).
Bibs, socks, sctratch mittens, and hats are very useful.
Maybe make up a gift basket with a back of diapers (size 3), sleeper (6-9 months), baby wash, a pack of wipes, diaper creme, soother, blanket, socks , and any other things like that. Spend around 100 dollars (no more) if you want.
ok here u go get diapers and put stuff in it like snickers, musketeers and other choc. candy bars and have the guest guess what candy bar it is for a prize
pen the tail to the husbands butt for jokes
and for a gift a bumbo seat they are a need also a bouncer
u also can put those little babies that are no bigger then a inch into ice cubes and give them out with there drinks

If you are going off her registry, I would get a bunch of the smaller gifts she had on there and put them all in a plastic tub with the babies name on it. Maby decorated in that puffy paint stuff.
Then she can use the plastic tub as the babies toy box. My friend did this for me and I thought it was so much fun and creative. And there’s no wrapping involved, you give it as is and she’ll have fun seeing all the goodies you got.
endless options for gifts! does she have a registry? this is why they come in handy! for those who are clueless on what to get! if she doesnt have a registry, dont get clothes. she will probably get sooo much clothes! one of my fave gifts at my baby shower was a handmade quilt. you could always do a gift certificate for a baby store, a cute little set in a basket of a baby brush, lotions, shampoo and powder, it’s the thought that counts =)
A lucky charm pin! It is so cute and unique. mom can hang as a jewelry on her diaper bag or baby stroller. it is the only shower gift I know that has a meaning and not just a meaningless gift.

you could get the baby some clothes, toys, blankets, etc….for the mother haha a day of rest! lol I’m not too sure but that’s what I got….nobody got me anything for me it was all for my little guy!
will she be using disposible diapers? like pampers? they have really cool diaper cakes or baskets that are generally made from diapers and have other useful things in them like socks and cloths and clothes… alot of people make baby registeries… if the mom to be made one find out where it is and you can pick something that she actually wants! clothes are good too but my advice would be to get something a little big bigger, people always buy stuff for a newborn but they grow out of that stuff pretty fast and then you need to run out and buy alot more clothes yourself! bibs are also good and cute… I don’t know if she will want to use pacifiers and if she is breastfeeding or not but a set of bottles would be good. playtex has a few good box sets that arent to expensive. hope I helped! there are endless amounts of things you can get, I suggest you keep the bill or if they have gift reciepts get one, in case you buy something that she already has and doesn’t need 2 of.
