What Should I Get My Friend For Her Baby Shower Gift? She Had A Premature Baby.?
My friend had a premature baby – like 15 weeks early! The baby is doing good but will be in the hospital for the next few months. But I have no idea what to get for her. I’ve only been to like one other baby shower. When the baby comes home she said she’ll be around 6 pounds.
Also what does it mean to be registered? Like on the invitation it says registered at target, baby’s r us…etc.
It would probably be nice to have some preemie clothes…..
registered means that she went to those stores and picked out everything she wants. They keep it in there computer and so when you go to the store you can print out a list of all the things she wants in that store and it will probably make it alot easier to pick!
I would suggest getting her a first baby photo album, one that she can easily take with her everywhere. I am sure that she will want to show off her new baby, even though she won’t be able to take him/her with her everywhere. Another great idea is a sweatshirt/t-shirt that has been customized (we had ours spray-painted) that says something like “Proud New Mommy” or something along those lines.
When a mother-to-be registers, they go to a store or stores of their choice and pick out gifts that they would like to receive. However, if she was not aware that her baby would mostly likely be premature, there are probably quite a few things on her list that she will not be able to use at this time, so try to keep that in mind.
That means you can go to those places and ask about their Baby Registrys. Tell them her name and they can show you a list of what she wanted… and it says whether or not someone already bought that item.
I’d suggest doing that. You can also go to Target.com and type in her name and find it and buy online and they mail it to her house.
when you register like at target and you go shopping for them you get a thing that tells you if they got that gift or not and you can put in what you get so other know!! You could get her a nice preemie jacket for the day she takes her home, or the awesome car seat covers that are like a blanket but fit on the car seat are great!!
Any gift will be good but the best thing that you can do is offer to-and follow through with helping her out. Ask her if she needs help keeping her house up and stuff because she will be back and forth from the hospital a lot. Or make sure you are there for her if she just needs to talk.

(list of items she picked out && would like for gifts)
search for what u want to buy her off the list
and when u check out give the cashier the list so they can take it off
(this will prevent her from getting duplicates)
but if u cant find something gift cards work just as well =)

i would get her a really nice over night bag. she will be going to the hospital alot to see her baby and this way she has something nice to pack her things in.
Get her the baby sling so when she goes places the baby can lay against her chest and mommies smell and heart beat will comfort the baby :]

Get the baby some preime outfits (they are so cute) and get her some stuff to keep her comfortable like a camera and stuff.
