wipes
diapers
burp cloths
large ziploc bags for when baby items get soiled while out
Blankets, socks, recieving blankets, pacifiers, bottles, washcloths, a towel, an outfit, a onesie, a pack of size 1 or 2 diapers (newborns aren’t needed very long), a soft baby doll, bibs, teething rings, a stuffed animal, rattles, hats, bottles (if they plan to bottle feed at all), baby wash, baby lotion, diaper rash cream, baby toothbrush, baby grooming set, etc. Or any combination of the above.
I think a gift card is nice…but a little impersonal. SO how about a gift basket with a bunch of goodies…diapers, wipes , powder, lotion soap, shampoo etc:. maybe throw in some cute baby booties, some plain white onsies (oh we go through them like you wouldn’t know!) baby hair brush set, baby nail clippers (their nails grow so enviously fast and long in like seconds) that would be a cool present and maybe throw in a gift card for the mom to buy herself something nice just for good measure, it could be to a restaurant for for andd her significant other or maybe a maternity store so she can buy some sexy new mommy maternity gear)
go to http://www.onestepahead.com and look for the Itz Been Timer! It’s cheap and I LOVE mine and have used it every night for 7 1/2 months! The mom can time how long it’s been since a diaper change, a feeding, how long the baby has been sleeping and it has a misc. button for medicine or whatever. It was a life saver in the beginning because I knew at a glance how long it had been since each event (even in a tired stuper)… and now I use it to see how long he sleeps at night and how long he’s gone since a feeding. I LOVE this thing. It’s great!http://www.onestepahead.com/catalog/prod…
Get one of those gift packs that have the following:
1. One or two blankets
2. 4 on-zies
3. 2 shirts
4. 2 pants
5. 2 pairs of booties
6. 4 bottles
7. a bib
It is only about 20-25 dollars.
Does the mother to be have a baby registry? If so that would be the best place to look.
I would buy her a playmat or something like that.
see if she has a gift registry.. I know I put alot of little cheap things on my registry.. things like teething rings, bottle brushes, baby wash, wipes, nipples, etc.
gift card, diapers, wipes, lotions, baby soap, onzies, or burp clothes
I love when people get me formula, diapers, wipes, bottles.things like that.It really helps when you bring a new baby home.People always get clothes and they end up with too much.
You can never go wrong with a gift card…that way you choose the amount of money you spend and they can choose what they want/need for their baby girl =) If not, you can never go wrong with diapers and a few outfits…but if you choose to buy clothes always get 6-12 months because at my shower everyone gave me like newborn clothes lol and they grow so fast =P
Also check if the mother has a registry that way you can see what they already have for the baby…hope this helps=D
Try fuzzy blankets, washcloths, hooded towels, bibs, and a cute little toy for the newborn!
you can go get one of those gift pack that have everything for just 20 bucks!
I’d say go to babysRus they always have a full inventory of stuff.
How about a pack of diapers and wipes?
a bath or bottle warmer
