What Is The Most Useless Thing You Bought, Registered For, Got As A Gift For Your Baby?
I got like 3 baby bathrobes and they are a pain to try to even use. An old bath towel worked so much better.

the plastic baby tubs!!! I absolutely hated mine and gave it to a friend after the second time I used it! It took up way to much space!
I ended up going to Target and getting one of those bath sponges, and my baby was just fine getting a bath in the kitchen sink! It worked awesome too if I wanted to take a bath with her in the tub.
The big plastic tub was just way too much of a hassle!!
haha, everyone always says they hated the diaper genie!?!
give me reasons!! why don’t you like it??
I absolutely could not live without mine! I know it stinks when you’re actually changing out the bag, but other than that it’s wonderful! I lived without one for months before I caved and bought one, and within a few days my house smelled so much better!
This infant sling that I registered for and a friend bought:http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp…
Totally useless for a newborn- he was all mushed up in there and uncomfortable and it’s terrible on your back. The last time I was in BRU I actually walked up to a pregnant woman who was looking at it and said “Don’t register for that.”
And the damn diaper genie, what an annoying piece of crap.
Edited: To Audrey, the reasons we hated the diaper genie were: The room still smelled like crap anyway. The bag it holds is pretty small and gets full quickly. If you try and flip the thing when the bag is close to full the diaper just sticks to the plunger and then whips back around. Or gets stuck in the mechanism and then gets poop all over. Changing it was disgusting, especially if any diapers missed the bag. And no matter how I scrubbed it, and put baking soda in it and used scented bags, the whole thing smelled foul. Much easier to just use a small trash can and empty it frequently.
A lot: Scratch mits, two snow suits for a 6 month old (my child was born in November), Christmas clothing for a 6 month old, baby bath towels, pacifiers (she hated them, never liked them but I know they are a god send to some mommies), a sleep positioner, diaper pins (I have always used disposable), hair bows (she is 9 months old and still bald)all the newborn outfits. She never even wore most of them because they grow so fast.
I hate to sound ungrateful. I appreciate everything I was given but most things I never got any use out of. The best baby shower gift I got was massive amounts of diapers.
I have to agree with the diaper genie. I also had a few baby bath robes. Cute to look at, pain to use.
A breastfeeding pillow. I tried using it for that once or twice, honestly, they aren’t heavy for a while. The pillow never sat where I felt it should have, moved around, got in the way and made me uncomfortable. I liked holding my baby. I didn’t have any range of movement with it. So it got used as a prop-her-up on the floor.
Baby bath tubs also. More trouble than good. Except for the one I could put in the kitchen double sink. That one I liked. It had a drain on the bottom where the others ones I had were messy and hard to move around. Someone bought it for me second hand, or I wouldn’t have even had that one. You don’t need them for long either. The regular tub worked great for me.
I hated the diaper genie as well, and the little plastic tub, my daughter flailed around too much for it, and always banged her arms off the sides.
The other thing that I got a bunch of that I didn’t need was sleep positioners (I got 3 of them) and she only used it for about 4 weeks before she figured out how to wiggle out of it.
Oh, and I love how I got a 0-3 month snow suit when I was due the middle of June, some people just don’t do very well with math …
I got feeding spoons with a train toy on them. They had a button on the train that when you pushed it, made the train make chuff, chuff noises, then whistle really loudly. After my eldest daughter pushed it a couple of times the button stuck, and it wouldn’t turn off. It was so annoying that I threw them in the trash, and two days later on collection day, we could still hear the spoons going really loudly in the bag.
Diaper genies it was a pain to use and I didn’t like the idea of dirty diapers sitting in something for a while. Buy diaper sacks or just use a grocery bag and throw it in the normal trash. That way its taken out within a day. Wipe Warmers are also just useless!!!!
I got a thing that held bags for dirty diapers, like on the go. Every time I changed his diaper I just found a can or threw it away at home.
A pacifier cleaner. biggest pain in the but.
Infant sleeper to keep them in place. HELLO they cant move. When he could wiggle about he just wiggled right out of it.
My son now 2. Loves his bathrobe.
As an infant I never used one.
I got a bathrobe for my daughter. Never used it, donated it to charity. those head garter belt things. I hated them on my daughter, she just looked so uncomfy
Wipe Warmer, plugged it in and used it once and wish I just returned it and got something that would have actually been used!
baby bath towels…they barely cover her and are so thin she would freeze…and big fluffy towel worked so much better!
i agree diaper genie was a waste.
also shoes for newborns… i cant see spending that much money on the tiny shoes they only wear a couple times. my dd wore socks and booties
the baby bath! he hates it, screamed every time we tried to wash him until someone suggested the normal bath.
Diaper Genie, definitely.
A microwave bottle sterilizer — I just use the dishwasher.
Diaper Genie – hated it.
My daughter hated the rainforest jumper thing. It looks fun but she feels trapped i think..She loves he walker.
Mechanical breast pump. Spent $128 to rent it for a month and it was used just once.
how about getting that crappy dollar tree baby lotion, it has so much oil in it, its gross.
The wipe warmer. It dried them out.
diaper genie….waste of space
