doesn’t matter to the kid, only to its parents. just get a cute outfit in the next size up. make sure it will be season appropiate.

My son will be 5 months old on Christmas eve, we bought him lots of fun toys, a bunch of clothes, and I also got him a stuffed penguin wearing a santa hat and bib that says Baby’s First Christmas on it. At that age, they’re not going to remember, so buy the things they need, then the things that you think are fun.

Don’t get any really big toys or anything, just get something small and age appropriate (A small toy or teether) Or you could buy an outfit or two, or something else the parents might need.

At this age, it’s best to get them something they can grow into. A few books would be great, and the ones that make sounds or have flaps that open can keep even younger babies entertained. (My youngest is 9 months old anod loves them.)
Clothes (in a size bigger than what they’re currently wearing) are wonderful, too. Babies can never have too many outfits! They go through them so fast. Forget about the cute designer stuff- most parents prefer practical outfits that they can play in, or just some nice warm sleepers.
If you really want to get them a toy, Leap Pads (electronic interactive book readers) will grow with them and are educational and fun.
