The best baby shower gift I got was from my sister. She made like a scrap booking thingy.LOL. Inside there were “coupons” I could use after the baby was born……There were coupons for babysitting, doing laundry, vaccuming, dishes, grocery shopping, ect. I cried when I opened that. I still have the book with ALL the coupons (She never expected me to hand her a coupon when I needed her. LOL)

My snugli — great for when baby was small and only wanted to be held, now wonderful for when I go out shopping with my 6 month old

My boss gave me a generous gift certificate to a nice restaurant and offered to babysit for us while my husband and I went to dinner. His wife also let me take her Lamaze class for free. They are just thoughtful people with wonderful gifts!

the BOPPY…its a mooned shape pillow, i used it for everything i didnt breatfeed but i bottle fed my son it in, i would put him to sleep in it for naps on the couch or in the bed. (before the rolling stage) now hes 1 and he lays on it on the floor when he watches his movies…
Diapers were the next best thing, its always good to stock up the mom to be on daily things too

Offer to go grocery shopping for her. Ask for a list of everything she’ll need and do it for her.
You needn’t pay for it all (bring a receipt) just going and picking it up is such a trial sometimes.

I did not have a shower, but a friend gave me a baby sling, and six months later, I still don’t have a stroller. YAY
    for babywearing!
But if your friend is having a baby — offer to quietly come over a couple of weeks after she has the baby — and scrub out her toilets. Seriously.

A huuuuuuuuuge basket of potions and lotion, baby bath, baby oil, baby moisturiser, wipes, teething gel, nappy rash cream, thermometer, baby nail clippers, face wahers, nappy sacks you get what i mean all that stuff costs alot and is a huge help. My daughter is nearly 5 months and i havent had to buy much of that stuff at all its a wonderful idea.

My Bob jogging stroller. I will enshrine it and cast it in gold when my babies grow out of it!!!
Only kidding, but it wasAWESOME!! It can hold a Graco, Britax and Evenflo carseat for when they are too little to sit up. It can hold a kid up to like 50 lbs or something. It has a swivel front wheel so you can turn without awkwardly lifting it up. It is more compact than most joggers so you can take it to the mall. I got in the best shape of my life with that thing!!!

a bassinet, it came in so handy. we had it in the living room so that we could lay the baby down for sleep close by without taking up all the space a crib would.
