It’s something I never would have gotten around to buying myself, because I always would have felt there was something more important.
Of course I did appreciate the crib, diapers, and clothes as well, but realistically, it’s stuff I would have ended up with anyway.
A bouncy seat that vibrates. It was a life saver. The vibration would calm my son instantly. Also, he had frequent ear infections. Whenever he would wake up screaming his head off in the middle of the night because he had another infection, it was the perfect angled seat for him to sleep in without being in pain. It was wonderful during those times.
The best gift was when I had a diaper shower, I got enough diapers not to have to purchase any for almost 4 months, what a money saver for me! Close runners up were, a high chair on wheels that reclines, a jumperoo, and some fancy bouncy seat. All these items get great use in my house!
Sounds kinda silly but homemade recieving blankets with matching burpcloths. I also later realized that you can never get too many bags of diapers and wipey refills.
