A blanket my best friend from college spent months knitting. It’s so soft and I can really see all the effort she put into it. She made it while she worked 3 jobs and was in grad school full time! She also drove 3 hours to bring it up to us and gave it to my son herself. I hope my son appreciates it when he grows up. He’s only 4 months now.
I got a lot of great things for my son when he was born. Clothes, playpin/bassinet combination, a lot of blankets and so forth. I loved all of it. Gift cards are great because that will allow you to get what you want for the baby. Also, this wasn’t done for me, but friends/family that are around you that can easily come over and babysit, could put in a little envelope a little gift certificate, homemade, stating that it was good for free one time babysitting, or two times, so that you can either take a nap (which you will definitely want/need), and or go to a day spa, or have some mommy time to yourself around the house to read, or do whatever. May be even go to lunch with a friend for the afternoon. That would be great!
The best baby gift I believe I have ever recieved was a baby swing that plays loft music at the same time. My first child, Kyleigh, was collicy, im not sure if thats how you spell it, and then my sister, Jenna, got that fir me, it belonged to her when Jimmy and Gracie were just little. I have had it for 2 years now. I have used it when I had the twins, Kerighan and Kaylan, and I will use it when I have Khari in 4 months. I appreciate having it, I really do. I promise if you do not atleast have a tiny baby swing and some soft music playing on the side, GET THEM! I almost went out of my mind! But I was just 16 when I had Ky so that didnt help either. Now I have married and things are alot better. I used to lay Ky down it right after her bath, she found it soothing. So yeah, I didnt mean to binge on my writing. Well, I hope this is the type of answer you were looking for!
My rocking chair. I love rocking babies and I told my dad that is what I wanted when he asked when I was pregnant with my first. I rocked her when she was in my belly and still rock her and her sister at times, they are 6 and 8 now and just don’t quite fit, its a glider rocker, but they still want to try LOL
My fav thing is my kids memory boxes!!! It has all there stuff from the hospitol in it first blanket, bottle, binky, hat, outfit, and everything else I could think off.It is priceless.
It wasn’t a gift – I bought it myself, but the vibrating bouncy seat was the most used and most valuable baby item I have. He is 11.5 months old and still uses it (once in awhile) when he is drinking a bottle, he likes to sit and hold his bottle and watch mommy do whatever…

This is tough because my family & friends bought practically everything off my registry. I find almost all of the gifts to be very useful!
The best gift I ever recieved was the healthy of my babies from above!!!
A vibrating bouncy seat and a swing.
Either Diapers or the travel system my MIL got me.

My crib. I wanted a really nice one but could not afford it and my Aunt who lives in Hawaii bought one ad shipped it to my shower.

My boppy pillow. Definitly, that thing was a godsend. I used it for everything.
It may sound overly simple= but sleepers, the really warm ones and light weight ones. They were a huge help.
