What Are Some Ideas For A Gift To Give To The Mom For The Baby At A Baby Shower?
I am going to my friends moms baby shower in 2 weeks and i dont have a gift. Its a girl and its due September 22nd and i look for sales but it is all summer stuff. I need some help, please send me links to stores on the internet that have some cute cheap fall clothes(FOR GIRLS)!
Check the mother’s gift registry. Your friend should be able to tell you what stores her mom is registered with. You can often look at the store’s website and order online. And the mother often chooses gifts in a range of prices, so you can choose what you can afford. Also, the gift registry will tell you if someone has purchased the items for the mother already.
My suggestion is… don’t bother with clothes. Everybody buys clothes (clothes and bibs). For the same amount of money, how about something more lasting? I take it she’s not a first time mom, but how about a new digital thermometer for the little one. Package it with baby tylenol/ and baby teething medication and you’ve already helped mom/ baby out a lot. You can find great baby grooming kits, too. All of these thing can be found at your local drugstore so you won’t have to deal with shipping and can pick them up quickly.
If she is registered somewhere, choose something from her registry. I got so many clothes – none of which fit my little peanut until they were out of season. The items on the registry are the items that she definitely needs or wants. It drives me crazy when people buy knick knacks and clothes when what you really needed was a diaper pail and a baby bather – definite necessities!!!!!
I like to give a momma gift and a baby gift. For example, I just bought a baby scrapbook and Starbucks giftcard for my ex-boss. On the giftcard I wrote, “Necessary nourshiment for the mothers of newborns, especially for someone with 4 kids ages 5 and under.”
Go with basics for the baby like a cute pair of jeans and a cute printed t-shirt like from Old Navy, Baby Gap, etc. Another option is to get the “mom” some gifts like scented lotions and soaps and/or a gift card to a salon to get her nails done.

a box of refill packs of wipes-something she’ll always need. dreft laundry detergent and the spray n wash kind of dreft. these are all really needed and not something a lot of people think about getting.
OK well you could go to gap or somewhere and get baby booties since fall will be comming up. Or you could get them a gift card for around like 30 dollars so they can just buy the essentials instead of clothes.
get the mom something! no one ever thinks of that! the baby will get soooo much that day! show up with prezzie for the mama, like some lotion, showergel, or movietickets for 1 last date nite before baby comes!
Your best bet would be to just get a giftcard to like Target, Old Navy, Baby Gap or even Wal Mart. That way the mommy can pick out whatever she needs for the baby.
Just get a few packs of onsies, you can never have enough of those!
