what is the best baby gift to get for someone?
and not like this huge extravagant thing but something that they will really love! she is my neighbor and she just moved in and got married last year! and i love their dog because ive known it since it was just a couple months old from last year so im pretty close to them and talk to them alot. so i wanna get them a really nice gift. moms- tell me what you would want. others- tell me also!
You could buy them a few big packs of diapers and wipes. Honestly, I wish I had gotten less clothes and more diapers and wipes at my showers =0) Other things that are good are bath products b/c you go through that stuff so quickly and then you have to buy more. One friend of mine gave me a baby medicine cabinet basket full of Mylicon, Infant Tylenol and Motrin, Nasal Aspirator, thermometer, nail clips, ora gel…all those little things you need but may not think about and I thought that was great.
I LOVE the bouncer I was given–it was a total lifesaver when my daughter was born. Also, the diaper genie, or the diaper disposal bags that go in the diaper bag that are on a roll thing. I also really really liked blankets, especially if they were homemade. Clothes are nice–especially nice washable ones that are fairly warm (with the AC on, she gets cold even in the summer!). If you give diapers, please leave them in the package, in case they don’t like that brand or if they need to get a dfferent size. Rattles and toys like that are also a lot of fun to get…and baby uses them sooner than you would think.
Pretty much everything is an awesome gift, because babies use everything, and first time parents need it all. Good luck.

Make a cute certificate and tell them you will watch their dog when they are in the hospital or walk him/her for a week or something like that.
Dinner delivery service (like dream dinners??)–best ever.

get one of thoes simple lil fold strollers,
i’ve noticed a lot of new mommies forget to get simple fold strollers tht can easily be taken anywhere, mostly everyone you meet will get thoes gigantic heavy stollers, so get a simple 15 dollar stroller at walmart i think its like one of thoes smart gifts tht can be used till the lil tot is able to run around
Just ask her if there is something that she really wants. If you’re good friends… she’ll tell you. Otherwise, ask if she has made a baby registry anywhere and get her something from it. There would be a whole list of things she wants/needs.

One of my favorite gifts of all time is a book called “Love You Forever”. It is just the sweetest book for a mom to be or a new mom. You can buy it at books a million and most large book stores. It will make you cry it is so sweet!
I loved the ‘memory’ stuff I got….hand print kits, memory boxes, baby books etc . But the best gift i got was a GC to a spa for myself…..it was awesome to take an afternoon and go to the spa right after I had a baby.

My favorite gift was a gift certificate for housecleaning. It was great to not have to worry about cleaning when I was sore and tired and had company popping in and out all the time.
Pat The Bunny Book, inexpensive & it would be the baby’s first book. My boys loved it! Also nursery song CD’s are an excellent choice & the cost is low too!
I would say a gift certificate to a baby store…babies r us, target, wal mart, anyway…what really counts is that you are taking the time to give them something.

One of my favorite gifts was a foot print kit (it came with a shadow box)…good for boy or girl…
