Should I Bring A Gift For Visiting The Baby For The First Time At Their Home?

The baby is already 2 months and I still haven’t gone to visit him. Do I have to bring a gift?

Did you already get a baby gift? IF not, then I would bring a little something. Even if you already got them a gift if it is a good friend it might be nice to bring something personal for the baby like an embroidered burp cloth or blanket.

It is late, but still bring a gift for the baby.

yes. it is sometimes considered rude to walk into a house empty-handed, and the baby gives you a great thing to bring for the family. try getting burp cloths or a onesie.

not if you dont want too, its a free world do what you want, its not like the baby will remember you as the person who didnt get them a present. lol, but it would be nice.

I don’t expect people to bring gifts when they came/come to visit my new baby. (BTW- I have a 7 year old, a 4 year old, and am 37 weeks with baby #3). It’s nice, but I’m not going to get upset if they don’t, I just enjoyed the adult company.

IF you’re good friends with them I definitely would. If you’re not, did you go to the baby shower with a gift? If you didn’t then I would. If you did then you don’t have to. It doesn’t have to be extravagant. A cute onsies and matching socks would be sufficient. I would bring something regardless but thats me.

Yes, I would…either a gift for the baby or be different and give a gift to the parents.

No, dont bring some silly gift for the baby. If it is already 2 months old then it probably has the things it needs. Bring food! That is what I wished people would bring me. Enough of the hats and socks. I wished people would bring food. If you arent comfortable with that, bring diapers.

    YES

yes it is usually a nice gesture. even if it is something small like baby socks or a little hat or stuffed animal

You do not have to bring a gift unless it is a close friend or family member. You can always just get a little rattle or something cheap…

You don’t have to, but it would be nice. Maybe bring a frozen meal for the family. That’s what I needed more than anything after having my kids.

I would bring a small gift, maybe a teddy bear or something.

It is always fitting to bring a small gift. If you have the money then spend 10 bucks on a cute gift, but if not a card is fine.
