do a bath set. bathbeads, oils, salts, a bathrobe, etc for mom and then a baby tub, towels, washcloths, bath toys, baby brush and comb, etc. your basket is the baby tub. fill it up with all sorts of stuff!
For baby you could get a gets like baby wash, baby shampoo, wash clothes, towels, baby powder, baby lotion, diaper rash cream, diapers and wipes, Those always comes in handy.

Make her a gift basket of things like chamomile tea (if she likes tea) relaxing bath items (I recommend Lavender), things for a facial, manicure, pedicure…things she can pamper herself with. She’ll need a little relaxing time after baby comes! So many people focus on only getting gifts for baby, she’ll likely appreciate it. For baby you could get together baby wash, baby shampoo, wash clothes, towels, baby powder, baby lotion, diaper rash cream, diapers and wipes and put it all in an inexpensive baby bathtub.
I love the gift basket idea – if you use a small laundry basket (decorated with ribbon), it will do double duty after the baby is born. A lot of new moms are really surprised at how much laundry someone so small can generate!
Another nice idea is to make a baby shower memory book.
Here’s an article that has a bunch of unique ideas: http://www.ehow.com/how_4873947_unique-b…
One of the best gifts I got was a round changing pad made by patemm pads. It folds up easily into a small diaper bag. I use it on all my short trips when I don’t need to carry the kitchen sink. I’ve given them as shower gifts to friends, too.
my sister did this for a friend
she spent alot of money though.
she bought a really nice basket, and filled it with necessities
like diapers, baby wipes, baby towels, baby powder etc.
or anything like plush toys, teddy bears
picture frames specific for the baby
pajamas, hats, gloves, anything really.
its also nice to theme it maybe
like for bath stuff
you can get one of those tin bin like things and fill it with bath toys, soaps, shampoos etc.
have fun!
One of my favorite shower gifts I received for our son was a Cocooi swaddle. It’s made of a beautiful merino fabric and keeps my little guy’s temperature regulated, so he’s cool when it’s hot and warm when it’s cold. I owned a couple of polyester swaddles but my son tended to overheat and get sweaty when he wore them. I found the Cocooi was much more practical for us and it’s absolutely gorgeous! A perfect shower gift
We got some great ones at our baby shower(s). We have a 3 year old little girl and nine month old boy. There were three gifts that stood out above the others because they were so useful and also unique.
1) Me Too Seat
2) BabyLegs – someone above mentioned this – they are great!!
3) Little Giraffe blankets
We wrote an eHow article about what is great about all of these. There are pictures and links to each products main website (not sales sites) just the corporate site so you can check them out. Take a look at the article if you wish. Pick a good one, you’ll make someone’s day!!

I would go with gender neutral necessities such as a bag of diapers, wipes, bottles, etc. a musical toy such as a glowworm or a crib music box of some kind, and definitely an outfit or two with the main color of white, yellow or green, and guess the size big. Be careful though this stuff gets expensive very quickly.
One of the best things I brought to the hospital was really good bath soap and lotion… my husband massaged my feet while I was in labor.. and the first bath I was allowed to take with that really good soap was amazing! Bath and Body works rocks! as for a gift for the baby.. I would get her something off her registry.
Make a basket with like diapers, bath items, baby dreft spray for stains, bibs, baby hangers!! or you could make a diaper cake those are really nice and the diapers will be needed!! heres the how too…http://www.plan-the-perfect-baby-shower.…
Basket is a good idea-just fill it up with different things, like bottles, bibs, pacifiers, baby soaps and lotion, desitin, things she will need everyday- and pampers are always great to get. You can never have too much!
I’d do a diaper cake, they are cute and you can either have one made or make it yourself.
Here’s a site that shows you how to make one..http://www.wikihow.com/Make-a-Diaper-Cak…
You could also google diaper cake if you are wanting to have one made.
Do that… lol , get a basket of things and put pacifiers, baby toys, clothes. Things like that, stuff that would help her. GOOD LUCK xo
Get lots of diapers, clothes and some smaller toys. Her baby will go through diapers and clean clothing like wildfire, and there’s nothing like a toy that can be taken with you.
i will tell u what we received on ours baby shower from my husbands colleagues a basket having bibs, clothes, towels, one robe, nail cutters, brush comb set
i suggest you give the baby maybe a few outfits and a toy then if you still have money give them the basket
You could do that but make sure you put in wipes & diapers, all different sizes. Those always come in handy.
Stamps for thank you cards.
add the book “Good Night Moon”
what a classic
and some diapers and stuffed animals
a gift basket with towels and baby soaps and stuff would be good moms always use that
