How Much Should I Spend On A Baby Shower Gift?

My friend is the first of my age group to be having a baby. How much is appropriate to spend on a gift or a few smaller gifts? I’m just not sure what is typical. Thanks in advance :)

It really depends. Most of the gifts I’ve given and received have been anywhere from $25 to $75. Spend what you can don’t worry about it if you can’t afford a lot. Every little thing counts, I promise!

well if they dont have a lot of stuff
then get her all you can get
    babies need a ton
and any little thing helps out
the more people get at baby showers saves them a ton of money
    for the first year
id say anywhere between 25-80 dollars
but make sure oyu odnt spend 30 bucks on a onesie
try to get good deals i know some places that sell 4-6 sleepers for 15 bucks thats good there
    also tip
babies grow really fast and odnt stay in neborn clothes for long
most only stay there for a few weeks
so id say if your buying clothing and acessories buy it between 0-3 & months 3-6

well there really is no set amount. i guess the more you care about the person, the more you will spend within your budget? i dont know how it works lol. the one baby shower i attended i spent $20. she was a good friend of mine, but i couldnt afford much and she had like 100 people coming….. the girls at my shower seemed to have spent between $20-$60 on me per person.
