How Much Should I Put On A Gift Card For A New Baby?
our friends will have a baby next month. My wife and I decided to get a gift card from walmart, but how much do you think we should put on it? They are really good friends of ours.

$50-$100
I would say $25 that is plenty. With this amount you can buy just about anything you would need from walmart.
If they are really good friends probably $50 or so. They can buy alot with that but get the giftcard at walmart especially with a baby theme on it. They have many to choose from!
if i were you i would just give them a check. since they are really good friends of yours you can give them $100 or more in an envelope. that way they’ll be happier. i think they would like that more. Best of Luck!!

Have you looked to see if they are registered somewhere? Target, Babies r us, Pottery Barn kids, Walmart? If they are registered you can pick a few items off of their registry. That way you know you are getting them things they want. My really close friends spent on average $100-$200 on my shower — and then of course bought more when my daughter came (who can resist buying for a new baby!)
$50 would be real nice.
Really good friends deserve the best gifts! That’s why I would just go out and buy some cute items. Don’t get me wrong, Walmart gift cards are comparable to none-I love em! But, what’s so much better than a plastic card is oohing and awwing over tiny socks and sleepers, you know? How much time will they have to go out and shop after the bundle of joy has arrived? And if you know what the sex is, shopping is so much more fun. They will remember your special, cutesy items and the sentiments attached more than a card. Good luck!
Good Friends , you will see the baby when it is here, what do they need if it is something big , like play pin, bed , swing , car seat , then help out , give 50 you can get these things cheap at walmart , but don’t worry to much about it , talk to the dad and see what they need or have there hearts set on , but don’t want to spend the extra money on with a new baby coming , things for the room would be nice , sorry you only wanted to know how much to put on a gift card I’ll say 50
If they are close friends.. i would do $30-50.
I personally would buy them basic stuff instead… sleepers, maybe diapers (size2 or 3), bath stuff, wipes, bottles, or even just some cute outfits…its fun to shop for babies!
$50 would be nice, but $25 is great too. There’s nothing wrong with $15 either.
