   I’ve had two babies. I think that the best thing that you can get for her would be the things that people overlook when getting ready for the little one. Fingernail clips, Tylenol, brush and comb. Just the little things and put in in a small basket or bag. It’s a nice gift and one that they will use.

   No money right now? Make up a personal gift certificate for something you can do in the future (i.e. babysit, cook, clean, etc.). Not your style?
   $10 can buy some nice stuff. By my house we have a Priceless kids and I can buy a designer baby out, a little rattle and a bib all together for about that amount. Good luck.

   I say go to the store and look around. Babies Rus is always running sales. You could find a few little outfits, and some bibs, and pacifiers for around 30.00 to 40.00 dollars. Thats not too expensive!!!

   How close to the expectant mother are you? If the two of are close friends, explain to her that you don’t have the cash right now and offer to make it up to her. If she is only someone you know through your best friend then buying a few small gifts and putting it in a gift bag is enough.

   Be simple and dont trt to go all one of the things she might need are onesy*sp, u no these little baby shgirts that snap at the bottom, but dont get little sizes cus thats what everyone does and its not smart cus babys grow and Fast! if u buy them get like 9-12 months, oh and u cant go wrong with diapers!

   You should spend about twenty dollars on the gift so your best friends sister does not think you are cheap.

   You can find a nice outfit or toy for $20, I wouldn’t say that is being cheap
