Gift For Pregnant Friend That She Will Enjoy After She Has The Baby?
My husband and I are going to a diaper party for our friends who are having a baby next month. The soon to be mom is having a shower of her own where she will receive gifts so she decided to throw this for her boyfriend since his birthday is coming up soon. Anyways its a keg/diaper party, where the price for the keg is a pack of diapers. I don’t drink beer so I technically don’t have to bring diapers ( my husband will) so I want to bring something for the soon to be mom that she can enjoy after she has the baby. Any suggestions?
I know that after I had my baby and after I have this one if I got something I really wanted it would might be a gift certificate to a day spa, get a massage, have a day to myself so would need someone to watch the baby for a few hours. Gift certificate to a clothing store that has various sizes so I can get a few new clothes that will fit my body b/c I won’t know what size I am till after the baby. Hope that helps!
I always go with the something for the mind, like a movie or book, something for the body, being lotions, soaps, chocolate, and something for the soul, being cented candles, massage, a gift certificate for a night of babysitting from you.
Just a few ideas. Have fun with it and she will love it. Usually it is all about the baby, it is so nice to see someone thinking about the mom too.
I would personally get bath beads, gift certificate to a spa or something along that nature. Get her something that’s going to help her relax, even for a few minutes. New Mothers really enjoy getting pampered after having a new baby. It’s hard work.
A DVD of a movie she likes. Maybe a gift card for a massage or to a restaurant or store she likes.
What about taking a diaper cake instead of a pack of diapers? They display beautifully until the baby arrives, but unlike flowers, they are 100% usable for the new baby. If you really want to give the new mom something she will enjoy after the birth, I recommend a massage, with an IOU for babysitting. You watch the baby while she gets a massage. Other things that really help out a new mom are a gift-certificate from a cleaning service, or a mani-pedi, or even just an offer for babysitting for an afternoon so she can take a nap.
If you want to get her something for the baby, I *loved* my Boppy pillow, and I used it 10x a day, every day for like the first 6 months.
