A really neat thing for a unique and adorable baby gift is called “Bebe Doos Perfect Ponies.” It’s a little headband with ponytails attached and even little bows with a swarovski crystal in the middle. I know it sounds crazy, but at least check out the pictures at one of the websites below:http://www.artfire.com/users/BellaAspire (You can buy them here)http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?lis… (Or here)http://www.facebook.com/pages/Bebe-Doos-… (Facebook Page)http://twitter.com/BebeDoos (Twitter Page)

Here is the description from the website:
These baby pigtails with headband, give baby girls a new cute look. They are the most unique new baby accessory. Bebe Doos© Perfect Ponies are so much fun! These fake hair pigtails headbands actually look very natural. Most people believe it’s their real hair!
Watch “18 Kids & Counting” to see Jordyn Duggar wearing our Ponytail/ Pigtails Headband.
Also seen in Oct 2009 People Magazine on Jordyn Grace Duggar.
This pigtails headband started as a fun little project and now has grown to a great little business. They are now sold in 7 states and 12 stores. To see a list of stores that carry them visit: BebeDoos.com.
Bebe Doos© Perfect Ponies is PATENT PENDING. They have also been safety tested and passed all new baby product laws as of Aug. 14th.
These ponytail headbands come in 3 hair colors: Blonde, Frosted and Dark Brown.
The ribbon is available in several colors: White, Black, Shocking Pink, Pink, Lavender and for a limited time Red.
If there is another color you would like, special orders are available.
When ordering please specify which color combination you would like.
Every Ponytail Headband will come on a white band that is 14″ long relaxed, this lace elastic band is soft and easily stretches to fit a two year old…maybe even three! :)
    Thanks for looking!!! :)

you could make a mom basket. put in super comfy slippers, herbal tea or flavored decaf coffee, books or magazines you know she would like, dvd’s of her favorite show, accessories for a hobby she has or wants to learn (knitting needles, cross stitching supplies, beads and supplies, paint), some good lotion, a hand back massager (i have one that is wooden and has a ball on the end with little knubs that stick out and feels great). personalize and make it truly for her.
or if you really want to do this for the baby you could make a basket that will grow with the baby. you could put in onesies and clothes in a range of sizes up to a year, diapers in sizes 1-3, some books, picture frames (all new parents go crazy taking pictures) and some disposable cameras if the mother doesn’t have a camera. or a themed basket. if mom refers to the baby as little princess make it super girly. if the baby kicked a lot in the womb get some stuff with a soccer motif.

One really neat thing we bought when I was in the hospital having my son was PeePee TeePees lol, if you know its a boy…they are like little cloth tents you put over top of their “PeePees” so you don’t get peed on, I found them so handy, I saved myself a lot of messes, and they are washable, in a pack I think there is close to 10 I cant remember exactly…..I only found them at hospitals, I’m not sure where else they could be sold.

A gift basket full of stuff a newborn would need for the first few weeks. For example, 0-3 months clothes (sleepers), 3 oz. bottles, receiving blanket, etc. A newborn theme basket.
