Does she have a name picked out? If so, how about a cute, personalized sign for the nursery that accents the décor? They have nice ones under “Personalized Art” at: http://www.mysweetandsour.com/ The artist is a mom. We received two for our twins: “Safari Adventures” for Brayden and “Express Train” for Bryan. I recommend the canvas ones. A little more expensive, but well within your budget and really nice.
Well, since she ‘has it all’ already, why not just get clothes and/or toys that you think are cute for the baby – Things that are cute but not really necessary. You can also get some diapers and formula too because you can never have enough of those for a baby. You can also get like a gift certificate to have professional photos done of the baby – not sure if that would be within the $200.00 limit, though.
Have fun at the shower!
you can never have enough diapers.. i think ive gone through about 60 diapers in 2 weeks… you could get different sizes from newborn to toddler that way she has backups… also a gift card is nice cuz she may THINK she has everything she needs but she may be surprised when the baby comes and she realizes everything she forgot or didnt get enough of.
anything the baby will need. especially clothes, diapers, and blankets.
you can NEVER have too many clothes. Also, if you see a cute outfit/shirt/pants/dress/whatever and its going to be too big for the newborn, BUY IT ANYWAYS. The kid’s gonna have to have something to grow into and wear as they get older. It never hurts to be prepared that way. Plus, clothes are relatively cheaper than gift cards, or toys. Just don’t go overboard with the sizes that are too big. some of each work well.
My best suggestion would be to make a basket. For a baby shower I went to I bought a wicker basket and filled it with -diapers (2 packs of size 2 and size 3 diapers cause you can never have enough)
-wipes
-little toys
-clothes (2 outfits socks shoes etc)
-bibs
-a cute picture frame
-baby book
-piggy bank
-blankets
-gift card
This is just an idea but the stuff listed above is reasonably prices and you can never have enough diapers wipes etc so I thought it would be nice and the basket is something the person can use for other things like storing toys etc.
hope this helps good luck
well…for my sis’s baby shower…i bought a big nice blue baby blanket…its nice for him and in the corner it has his full name..engraved on it…i got it specially made…by proffessional engraving..if u know the full name…right her/his name on the blanket and the year being born so the baby could keep it for ever bc its specially made…
I’ll have to suggest http://www.creanta.com
They turn any image, including your favorite photograph into an amazing and affordable hand made painting.
Maybe one of her and her husband?
What I liked of them is that they at reeeeaally good at capturing the physical likeness. Not to mention very, very affordable (they even combine multiple photos into a single painting or enhance your original photo at no extra charge). I was very impressed with the results.
In addition to portrait paintings they also do paintings of pets, landscapes and anything that means something to you (like your first car, favorite vacation spot, etc).
They’re the nicest people… because I was late with my friend’s gift, they even hand made a custom card to notify her that a special gift was coming her way. I highly recommend them.
Best wishes!!
does she have plenty of diapers? plenty of lotion and baby bath? Resinol is the best for diaper rash…she must have a jar or two…nothing else worked for my kids. tylenol, medicine droppers, gas drops, thermometer (those ear ones are nice, and easy…no booty violation) orajel
a gift card to a spa
a nice framed picture of his/ her name and its meaning
Get her a digital picture frame. You can get a good one for under $200.00. It is wonderful! I update the frame weekly and always have new pictures of my daughter and family. It was the best gift that I got.
Here is the one I have:http://www.amazon.com/Philips-9-Inch-Dig…
why not give her a gift card===get a few things like baby powder, baby oil, maybe a rattle, and baby wipes, put them in a little basket or something and have the card in an envelope in with the things. Then she can use it for what she really wants or needs.
Diapers are all ways good. and get different sizes and include a gift receipt in case it is not the brand she wants. Savings bond for the baby we got a few of these. Or if you are close you can make a cupon book of free babysitting you will do for her
one of the best things to get a soon to be new mother is something for herself. you could get her a gift cert for a massage or a day at the spa after the baby is born something for her is always a great idea
Do you want to buy something that she can use when the baby gets older? You could buy a tricycle and put a big stuffed bear on it OR you could buy a red wagon and fill it w/ diapers.
I would get her a gift card or something involving photos. (gift card for photo’s, xtra memory card for camera, photo album or frames) I was amazed by how many photo’s I’ve taken in just the last 2 years.
I suggest you give the person a hug and a savings bond for the baby. when its time to use it you could break it when it comes time to use it.
what about a drawing of the family home – check this website out http://www.drawmyplace.com – they do affordable, cheap pen and ink drawings – think they have a introductory deal on at the moment
what about a portrait of the mother and father carring the baby
check out this web site they make wonderful portraits

diapers! you can NEVER have enough diapers!
They can always use diapers and wipes. Or, maybe write a check to the baby’s college fund. That $200 will be a lot more in 18 years!
A gift card! That when they family can get whatever they want/ need whenever they need it.
Diapers and wipes, she will use them in time and wont have to worry about buying them for a while.
I agree with the last person…put it towards their college fund…people did that for us and our little girl already has a lot of money in her college fund that will be gaining interest for 18 yrs!!
college fund/thouse cards u get that make u money for 7 years and after thouse years u can buy anything u want with them?
$moneyy.
that way they can get wut they want when they need it.
:]
why not get nappies and wipes and all the bath type things as u can never have enough of those type things.
