Baby Shower Gift Help?
I am planning my sisters baby shower and want to do a story / poem to relate to different gifts that I am going to give. I have been unsuccessful finding anything online, the only one I have found I do not care for…any suggestions?
If you are stuck for an idea, try writing a parody of a popular song or poem. You could change the words to “Away in a Manger,” for example. If that strikes you as sacriligious, take an oldie like “California Dreamin’” and change the words. You could even take a popular poem, like “The Raven” and change the words, “Once upon a gift shop cheery/While I pondered, confused and weary/Over many a cute and cuddly item for a baby boy…” If you are looking for a personalized gift, go here: http://www.mysweetandsour.com/
be creative, come up with something yourself!
Write your own
4 line sonnet
Just be crafty and think something up. I think that if you just sat down and wrote it off the top of your head, then they would think, “Wow! This woman can write.” I remember going to different baby showers and them relating poems to the different gifts. It was so much fun!
well, this is a little tricky, since I don’t know the items you are buying…
If it comes from your heart, people will respond to that. Good luck
I can’t really see any poems online for specific items…
But maybe you could write a special 4 line note to go with the gifts… like:
Cream to soothe the redest of butts
So your child will Know you love him/her so much!
