Anyone Have An Idea For A Group Baby Shower Gift For Mom?
I am throwing a shower for my sister and her boyfriend. It’s co-ed and BBQ themed. We’re having each guest write their favorite BBQ recipe to make a special recipe book gift for the new dad. I’m looking for a similar type of gift for my sister-something that everyone can participate in but doesn’t really cost the guests any money. And something that is special with thought put into it. Any suggestions?
you can make a baby-friendly cook book.. what i mean is include recipes that require very little time to prepare… as we all know you have 0 time left after baby comes!!
you can also make her a book with advice from everyone… it is awesome for people to share personal stories and inspirations so you can have some kind of insight before entering motherhood..
EDIT: if you want to purchase a group gift… i would suggest for everyone to pitch in a few bucks and get the baby a high chair because it would fit the theme. if you dont care about the theme, get her whatever she still needs off of her registry that she cant afford on her own, or make a ‘diaper cake’ .. appropriate for the food theme
Maybe she could get like a mommy book with suggestions or tips on how to adjust to a new baby from different experiences. Like a baby recipe book.
Like the importance of getting a routine down with the baby,
What are some important things to carry at all times when going out with baby.
How to soothe a fussy baby,
If this is her first baby, talk about things that are normal no need to panic recipe’s.
If this is her second child how to manage them both get organized little things that help.
If she is breastfeeding little things that help with sore breast,
Make it like a little book and people can write their little personal experiences to go along with it. You know, you could get suggestions from the internet.
Like a resource book.
what my friends did for me was even though it was for baby too, they put funny things for me to read or encouraging words on a note card and put one in each diaper so when i went to change the diaper i had something nice or funny to read.
How about an advice book for the mom. You could have guests write the advice on cute paper. Take a photo of each guest with the parents to be. Then assemble a scrapbook with the guest’s advice and their photo.
for group presents, always chip in to buy the biggest and most expensive item on her registry. usually a crib or travel system.
You can have them all write notes to the baby and put it in a book for her
bed in a bag!!! everything she will need for baby in a bag! it’s great!
