www.damnshow.com **Ever since the first video of a two year old Indonesian baby chain smoking hit the internet, it is all anyone can talk about. This even more shocking footage shot in a village in rural Thailand has surfaced of an even younger child smoking. Everyone is asking who bears the responsibility of education when it comes to the health risks associated with smoking. The child is not just a casual smoker, but smokes up to fifty cigarettes a day, all provided by his parents, also smokers, who say the baby is addicted and goes into fits when he does not have anything to smoke. In a country such as Thailand, smoking is not seen as a negative health risk, but just a bad habit. Up to one third of the population smokes, including many young adults and children. The child in question was given his first cigarette by family and has been smoking ever since. Concern for the child and the seeming reluctance over the government to do something about minors smoking are what has everyone so upset. The government collects a lot of taxes from the sale of cigarettes, so they have done little to nothing to set age requirements for purchasing or using. The big cigarette companies are not likely to do anything in the way of education either in countries where the government or people are not demanding it.
