@maggie3431 If you listen to a few Bach piano pieces, you’ll understand. Nina was trained in the classics and she loved Bach. Her approach to harmony & phrasing in this piano solo pays much respect to Bach. The way she put classical phrasing & harmony together w/ Jazz’s swing & style is amazing! Many of her piano solos show this. She was a true innovator. I’ll bet that Bach & Nina R jammin’ right now!
