A friend of my huband’s gave us a memory box with a place for the first curl, tooth, and hospital bracelet.. and you can put a picture of the baby on the top of the box.

The best shower gift is the “Bumbo seat”. It’s a little molded seat that allows babies from 4 mos and up to sit up by themselves. I think that has been the greatest baby invention ever made!!
It was so easy to have our baby sit up at playdates to see the other babies, or sit up in the kitchen and watch me cook, etc. You can order it on-line, but they also started selling them at baby chain stores.

im working on a registry and as this is my first child, i dont want to miss anything.. im having a girl by the way! thanks for your input

personally my worst was dollar store pacifiers/souses. they dont meet safty codes, and my daughter gaged on it when i tryed to give it to her. the soap if i could use it was nice, but i got 40 bars of baby’s own soap, and my daughters skin condishion got worse if i used it.

July… Wouldnt it be nice for my sister-in-law to do…. Send a thank you note!!… What if she never sends one? She never sent one to me for any gift i have given or wedding gifts? It makes me feel unappreciated..

I got like 3 baby bathrobes and they are a pain to try to even use. An old bath towel worked so much better.

The big ticket items never meant as much to me as the handmade quilts and blankets that the baby’s grandmothers and aunts made. Those items have been cherished and passed down to my own grandchildren and are still in great shape.

My son is turning 1 on 4th July and some of my friends have asked me what he would like as a birthday gift. I dont know what to ask for. I dont want to ask for something very expensive at the same time, I want it to be useful. Can anyone help?
Also, I need ideas for a birthday cake.

The items listed on my friend registry I don’t like and they wouldn’t be useful at all. So I’m looking for ideas on a gift.Thanks for your help. What is a must have item for a new baby price range of $100.00.
