Being from an Italian family, many friends and relatives gave my son money and savings bonds. Some friends also gave keepsake type gifts. I don’t think it is mandatory per se. Guess it depends on your relation to the child.

Some kind people are throwing me a shower today and my mother and I have conflicting views on when I should give them the gifts and cards to thank them. I think that I should do it after the shower, but my mother says that they want the focus to be on me and the baby today so I should wait until Monday. Either way, not the biggest deal in the world. I was just wondering about some other people’s views.

and i always thought when i was little,, when you get married you automatically get pregant straight after getting married
i never known anyone who had a baby and wasnt married – thats why i thought like that
does anyone else have those silly thoughts when they were young about how babies came?

Do you use the registry or just buy what you think is cute? My cousin recieve 7 of the same outfits, 3 of the same pairs of shoes, and two baby swings at her shower and had to return them all while 8 months pregnant. Do you use the registry? Why or why not?
