What Do You Think Of This Baby Shower Gift Idea For Guests?

I am having a baby girl and I make jewelry. I thought for my guests at my baby shower I could make earrings for everyone. I was thinking I would buy card stock and put a saying or poem thanking my guests on it with the earrings attached. I am quite sure everyone has pierced ears.
