I just found out that my former boss gave birth. She’s on maternity leave but I want to send her a congrats card and maybe something small for the baby like a small gift basket. First of all, is this APPROPRIATE? and second of all, where do I send it since she’s on maternity leave and isn’t in her office. I dont have her home address or anything like that.

My husband’s best friend’s sister just had her 3rd kid. I didn’t know her when she had her first, she sent an announcement for her second, and I didn’t send a gift, much less respond, but I had a baby, and now I am much more sensative to parents and their needs and expectations (and I like babies more ).
