Umm, I highly doubt she gives it out. And while I’m sure your intentions are good, she most likely will not take gifts from strangers, especially gifts that are for her baby. Sorry.

I just found out that my former boss gave birth. She’s on maternity leave but I want to send her a congrats card and maybe something small for the baby like a small gift basket. First of all, is this APPROPRIATE? and second of all, where do I send it since she’s on maternity leave and isn’t in her office. I dont have her home address or anything like that.

My husband’s best friend’s sister just had her 3rd kid. I didn’t know her when she had her first, she sent an announcement for her second, and I didn’t send a gift, much less respond, but I had a baby, and now I am much more sensative to parents and their needs and expectations (and I like babies more
). Is it etiquitte for someone to send a gift in response to a baby announcement?

I would like to offer a gift to my cousin, who is pregnant and living in Australia, Sydney. I would like to buy a gift for the baby via an australian site and send it to her address. Which site would you recommend?

I have gotten gifts from 2 other people and I’ve also sent them stuff. This person is due in a month or 31 days. She had a baby boy last year. That was before I meet on-line she is a kind hearted person from our chats but I feel like I owe her something. It’s a girl this time she already has 2 other boys besides the one she had last year.

I got cards that are blank in the inside. So I just wrote who its to and from. The front pretty much says thank you. Do you think a person should say more.

Hey to all! My friend had a baby shower in Feb. and she had the baby in March. I sent them a really nice shower gift (almost 90 dollars worth of stuff) and I wondered.. do I need to send another gift because the baby has arrived? I was thinking just a nice card, but I wasn’t sure what is usually done.. thanks in advance!

If you might visit the family within a few months, would you wait to give the baby gift in person? Or is it expected that you send it right away when the baby is born?
