our friends will have a baby next month. My wife and I decided to get a gift card from walmart, but how much do you think we should put on it? They are really good friends of ours.

I was thinking a gift certificate to an upscale photographer …. fifty? seventy five? a hundred? She is my best friend’s sister.

The mother-to-be is my FH’s best friend’s girlfriend (confused yet?). I see her when we all hang out as a group, but she and I don’t really spend time together without the guys, and aren’t really that close.
Should I ask my FH to split the cost of the gift with me? No?
How much should I spend?

I will have gone to 11 baby showers this year! a few were family and the rest are close friends. I am a very giving person I’m the one that buys half the registry for you and makes sure you get a little of everything but 11 showers is getting costly.
How much do you usually spend? whats a good amount?

I’ve never attended a baby shower before, but I was trying to gauge how much I should spend on a present. The couple are friends but not VERY close.
