I ordered a baby gift online for an estranged friend. We had a blow up over something so dumb a year and a half ago. I have spoke to her briefly since, but we are not friends anymore. Her husband was deployed with my husband (they are friends) but recently got sent home early because she is about to have the baby. Anyways, when I had my second daughter, she threw a baby shower for me, so even though we aren’t friends anymore I wanted to send a little gift. I just ordered a little layette from Walmart… nothing big. Do you think it was a nice gesture or was it wrong to do?

My husband and I are going to a diaper party for our friends who are having a baby next month. The soon to be mom is having a shower of her own where she will receive gifts so she decided to throw this for her boyfriend since his birthday is coming up soon. Anyways its a keg/diaper party, where the price for the keg is a pack of diapers. I don’t drink beer so I technically don’t have to bring diapers ( my husband will) so I want to bring something for the soon to be mom that she can enjoy after she has the baby. Any suggestions?

A very good friend of mine is throwing me a baby shower the day after thanksgiving. I was wondering if anybody has ideas on what kind of “Thank You Gift” I should give her.

I’m open to the gift being either for mommy or the baby. It’s supposed to be a little girl. I would like it to be fairly easy and not incredibly time-consuming, as I’m busy. She loves homemade gifts so I think this is the best idea.

to the baby with a white candle, with a follow-up good glass candlestick every year till she’s 21. Is that a meaningful gift for when the girl is an adult, – or is it just too gay?

She owes me something around $30 and I am sure she just forgot to pay it. Should I remind her? It’s not a huge amount but as a principle shouldn’t I remind her? The other two friends shared the cost. What is the best possible way to do that..or does it make me a cheap person..she is a very close friend and neighbor.

I don’t want to give her the usual gifts like clothes and baby stuff.

I have a good friend that just had a baby and I was thinking that maybe it would be a unique gift to get her a kegel exerciser to get her muscles back into shape, but I don’t want to offend her. Any thoughts?

My friend had a premature baby – like 15 weeks early! The baby is doing good but will be in the hospital for the next few months. But I have no idea what to get for her. I’ve only been to like one other baby shower. When the baby comes home she said she’ll be around 6 pounds.
Also what does it mean to be registered? Like on the invitation it says registered at target, baby’s r us…etc.
